LIGHTGREEN
A place for little things

In the sequence of my previous post about Processwire, here is the first published website that I’ve built with it: MAX, CAFE, BAR,  (a very nice place to have a drink if you pass by Karlsruhe in Germany).
The programming and adaptation to different screen sizes is mine and the design is from Erika Göbel. We are working on her online portfolio right now, so make sure to go back to her website in some weeks ;)

All you, webdesigners and developers out there that feel that can’t do everything you would like to with tools like Wordpress and Drupal, have a look at Processwire. I’ve been working with this open source CMS for the past months, and couldn’t recommend it more.

In the video, Ryan Cramer, the developer behind Processwire, makes a very easy to follow introduction to the tool. Enjoy :)

I swear I saw this happen yesterday! Both, the girl and the cat, are ok.

From time to time I see something that just makes me really want to make a post on my sleeping beauty :) This is one of them.
Ifttt is a great idea by Linden Tibbets, inspired by Janee Fulton Suri’s ‘Thoughtless Acts?’. Besides being a great idea, it’s also beautifully executed and designed with the help of Jesse tane. Be sure to check the opening post on the application blog.

It’s not everyday that you get the chance to see a designer talk about money.

Ok, these guys got me really curious…

update: at the webpop blog they mention quplo as an inspiration. I think it’s well worth a look also.
another update: I got an invitation to try the beta, from what I’ve seen so far looks very promising :)

To support the launching of Big Hands, Small Mobile I uploaded a bunch of scanned drawings from my notebooks, and also some pictures from the book itself, to my Flickr account.
Sorry for the bad quality of some images and for the english mistakes…

Isabel Duarte and Maria João Macedo, the creators of Voca, have a brand new portfolio website that is well worth a look. They named it, would prefer not to.
Great :)
